‘Living to the End’ - Catalyst Café

Creating fulfilled lives for the people around you

Monday, 29 October 2007

How important are your communities to you – to your quality of life – to the very end? How can you create rich and meaningful communities for yourself and for others?

Catalyst, in its dynamic café event format, featured Home Hospice, a social enterprise being supported by Social Ventures Australia (SVA). Home Hospice provides a mentoring program supporting the carers of those at the end of their lives, helping them to live fully, connected powerfully to their family and communities.

Guests engaged in some rich dialogue with each other around issues of quality of life and generating rich communities and also heard from speakers Melanie Greblo-Rhodes, Home Hospice CEO, and Kate Maguire, Home Hospice mentor. In addition, Maurice Goldberg, Chairman of The Ark Group, facilitated a powerful insight exercise.
