Our New Social Consciousness?
From Climate Change to David Hicks – Are Australians Suddenly Socially Aware?

Wednesday 28 March 07

More than 120 people heard some of Australia’s most dynamic social thought leaders debate whether Australia’s social consciousness really is now shifting gear.

High profile broadcaster Alan Saunders moderated a panel discussion with Rev. Bill Crews, Georgine Duncan and Brett Solomon. The panel and the audience engaged in some fierce debate about key environmental and social issues, and in particular, the role of different generations in driving positive change.

Alan Saunders presents Radio National’s weekly Philosopher’s Zone program and is an award winning writer and broadcaster.
